Being Blessed is a Wonderful Thing

In general, as human beings, we spend so much time complaining about what we don't have that we tend to forget just how blessed we really are.

There are SO many things in my life that I feel blessed to have experienced. Here's my list:

#1 The birth of my daughter...30 years ago...that has been by far the most joyous event in my life, and she continues to fill my life with a joy that I could never have imagined possible.

#2 The birth of my granddaughter...it's so wonderous to see your own child become this amazing parent...at that moment you realize there are SO many things you did right...I can't wait for her to begin to experience the same realization.

#3 The love of my Grandparents (Elvon and Chlorean). Their love was amazing...I miss them more than words can express.

#4 The chance to go back to school and get my degree. Graduating from college was always a dream of mine and one day it finally came true.

#5 Seeing my daughter graduate from college and move on to get her MBA. I am so proud...Kirsten you are an amazing woman.

#6 Connecting with another human being in a way that I didn't think was possible. It's an amazing thing when you meet that one person in your life who exceeds all your expectations...who moves you beyond what you thought you were capable of.

#7 Parents who love me, were always there for me, and continue to be my biggest supporters. Dad...I know you're always with me...and Mom...thank you for always being there.

#8 A truely remarkable relationship with our Heavenly Father. My faith grows deeper and stronger with each passing day. He's taken my heart and shown me the right way.

#9 Good friends...they are irreplaceable. Only your best girlfriends can truely relate.

#10 Life...it's a glorious thing...we should all be greatful and count our blessings each and every day.

These top ten are not in any order. They are just the first ten things that came to mind. To me, each one is as important as the next. It's a good exercise to spend some time reflecting on what's most important to us, and just how truely blessed we really are.

Until the next time...
